As part of our ongoing support package for GCSE Mathematics students we would like to inform you of what support your child will receive through their planned curriculum time and how their learning can be extended beyond curriculum time.
As we only have 5 teaching weeks until GCSE Mathematics Paper 1 below is an overview of what we will provide for students to ensure they are fully prepared to achieve the best grade possible in the summer exams.
Sparx
Each week exam- style revision tasks will be set; students have a week to complete these. Support is available every lunchtime in H3 or during Thursday Period 6 Sessions.
All students have now received their mock exam papers back to take home together with a QLA (question level analysis) for each paper. The QLA has the Sparx independent learning code associated to each question along with being RAG rated to help students focus their personalised revision.
Fluency Fix Up link with the Maths Mock Exam QLAs. The Fluency Fix Up is a task that provides the opportunity to work on any fluency questions from the mocks that were answered incorrectly. There is access to the support videos for each question, and students are able to see in real time the progress they are making through the task.

The following equipment will be needed for all three exam papers;
– Black pen
– Pencil
– 30cm ruler
– Protractor
– Compass
– Calculator for Paper 2 and 3

From 8am on each of the exam days teachers will be available for revision sessions.
