Destination: The Imperial War Museum, London SE1 6HZ
Travel Details: Meet at Paddock Wood railway station at 9am. Travel is by rail, returning to Paddock Wood railway station by 3.30pm.
Purpose of visit: To deepen understanding of the Holocaust topic which is being studied in Module 2. Students will have access to a guided tour of the Holocaust galleries at the Imperial War Museum. It is a unique opportunity to engage more seriously with History, and is an ideal trip for those students particularly interested in pursuing History at GCSE.
Nature of activities: Students will experience a mixture of guided and independent tours within the museum, predominantly focused around the Holocaust Galleries. There will be a break to have lunch, before a visit to the galleries and the gift shop and returning home.
Cost and payment: The cost is £10.94. This covers the cost of transport and the guided gallery visit.
Confirming your place: To confirm a place for your child, please complete the consent form using the following link by Monday 17/11/2025. Unfortunately, as there are only 30 slots for this visit, it is highly likely that this trip will be oversubscribed, and therefore payment details will only appear on Scopay after the closure of entries, with places randomly allocated and places confirmed via email. Students who have not experienced a trip with the History Department previously will be prioritised. Please note that no monies can be refunded unless cancellation is made by the school.
