Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we look forward to our first Expedition of the year, taking place on April 30th and May 1st, we have arranged a Training Day to take place in school on the last day of this term, Thursday 2nd April. During this day, all of our Bronze Students will be off timetable and will work with Staff from BXM Expeditions on the various skills they will need for their Expeditions, they will also spend time working through the various scenarios they may find themselves in, whilst out on Expedition.
Students do not need all of their DofE kit for this day.
I have this morning asked students to let me know the groups they would like to take part in these Expeditions with, these need to be between 6 or 7 students.
During the Training Day, students will work to a specific timetable, this is attached below for your reference,

09:00–09:30 – Introduction & Group Organisation
09:30–10:10 – Navigation
10:10–10:30 – Break
10:30–12:00 – Route Planning
12:30 – 13:00 – Kit
12:30–13:10 – Lunch
13:10 –14:00 – What to Do If
14:00 –15:00 – Food & Stove Safety
