RE: NOTIFICATION OF SCHOOL RESIDENTIAL
Title of Visit: New York and Skiing New England USA
Date of Visit: Thursday 11th February 2027 – Saturday 20th February 2027
Students Invited: Current Year 9, 10,11,12
Destination: New York City (3 days) staying in Manhattan. Ski trip to Cannon/Waterville (5 days)
Staying at The Snowy Owl Inn in Waterville Valley Town Square
Travel Details: Students will travel by plane direct to New York. We will travel to the ski resort by coach and fly back from New York or Boston.
Purpose of visit: New York City Break and Skiing
The trip includes: Return transfers to the airport by coach + return transatlantic flights from a London airport, including all airline and airport taxes and APD tax + Overseas coach transfers and in resort mountain shuttles + 2 night/ 3 day city stopover in New York (including accommodation in Manhattan, breakfast, dinner at the Hard Rock Café one night and a Themed Buffet for the other) During our time in New York we will plan additional sightseeing activities + 6 days half board accommodation in Waterville + 5 days skiing in Cannon and Waterville + 5 days hire of skis, boots, poles and helmets + 5 hours of tuition per day.
The total cost of the trip is £2450. Once your child’s place is confirmed you will be added to Scopay and asked to pay a deposit of £230. Your initial deposit will then be followed by 12 monthly payments of £185. Please note that if your child is 16 or over at the time of departure, they will be expected to pay Air Passenger Duty Tax of approximately £100. Lunches are not included.
Requesting your place: To request a place for your child, please complete the registration of interest form using the link below. Please note that this trip is likely to be oversubscribed. If allocated a place you will be contacted by email. Please note that the deadline for requesting a place on the trip is 23:59 on Friday 14 November 2025. The deposit will then be due by 21st November 2025. Please note that no monies can be refunded unless cancellation is made by the school. Important details: In order to make the trip economically viable students may be expected to share a double bed with a friend. Please do not apply for the trip if your child is not comfortable with this. The trip is organised by Select Ski. Details of the resort can be found on the website. Coaching sessions will be organised at Chatham dry ski-slopes for students who have never been Skiing before closer to departure. Please note that students may spend some time in the vicinity of teachers but not in their direct company whilst in groups of 3 or more.
