Year 11 English Intervention
We are writing to invite your child to attend a supportive English intervention and revision session taking place on Thursdays after school (Period 6) in the English Department. These sessions will start on Thursday 8th January.
Students have been carefully selected for these sessions based on individual learning needs, to ensure they receive targeted support that will help them make strong progress and feel confident ahead of their upcoming mock examinations.
The next round of mock examinations will focus on Literature Paper 1. During normal lesson time, students will be focusing on Macbeth; therefore, these Period 6 revision sessions will concentrate on An Inspector Calls. The sessions will be led by Ms Mace and Mrs George, who will guide students through key themes, characters, and exam-style questions to help strengthen understanding and exam skills.
These sessions are designed to be positive, encouraging, and highly supportive, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, practise exam techniques, and build confidence in a small group setting.
